Mildred Rose Cagle

Mildred Rose Cagle, 93, of Granite City, and formerly of Olmsted, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at Helia Health Care of Energy, Illinois.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1927, in Olmsted, the daughter of James and Bessie Wright Odle. 

She had worked as a butcher in a factory.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Nicholson of Wood River and Paula; a sister, Lou Odle; nephews Jesse (Martha) Ledbetter of Ullin and James (Sherrie) Ledbetter of Ullin; nieces Phyllis (Frank) Sanchez of Kansas City, Mo., and LaVerne Schlamer of East Alton; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Concord Cemetery in Olmsted, with the Rev. Brent Miller officiating. Interment followed.
