Mildred Marcinkowski

Mildred Marcinkowski, 94, of Anna, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept 10, 2016, at her home.

She was born on July 29, 1922, in Anna, the daughter of Everett and Maude Halterman Williams.

She married Julian Marcinkowski on May 8, 1942, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1984.

She is survived by her daughter, Mona (Richard) Diefenbach of Anna; one grandson, Christopher (Beth) Diefenbach of West Paducah, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Hannah Diefenbach; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julian Marcinkowski; a daughter, Judy Thomas; an infant son, Julian William Marcinkowski; three brothers, Clifford, Lowell and Eugene Williams; and one sister, Mary Manninger.

She was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church for many years. She worked for 14 years as a national certified tourism travel counselor. She was a life member and past president of the Union County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marcinkowski were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Les Sinks officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Anna First Baptist Church.
