Michael Ray Stringer

Michael Ray Stringer, 72, of Pulaski, died at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Stringer was born on Sept. 29, 1949, in Cairo, the son of Carl Edward and Carol Lee Sowers Stringer.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Stringer was a faithful member of the Pulaski Christian Church. He was a lifetime member of the Pulaski County Memorial VFW Post No. 8891. He was a former employee with Crain Enterprises in Mound City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant niece, Cheryl Lance; a brother-in-law, Fred Lance, on Feb. 8, 2021; and a nephew, Scott Lance, on March 25, 2021.

 Survivors include his sister, Nancy Lance; a niece, Jessica Beauchamp and husband, Brandon; a great-niece, Charleigh Beauchamp; an aunt, Shirley Stringer; an uncle, Chuck Sowers; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Mound City National Cemetery. Pastor Bill Littrell officiated. Inurnment followed. 

Full military honors were given by the Scott Air Force Base burial team and area veterans.
