Michael Ray Davidson

Michael Ray Davidson, 59, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at 4:06 a.m. at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on June 12, 1959, in Kankakee, the son of Edmund Charles and Florence Lorene Taylor Davidson. 

He married Lori M. Dillow on Nov. 17, 1988. She survives.

He was a manager of theaters, an employee of RAVE and also was a truck driver. He loved relaxing on the porch, as well as listening to music and watching movies. He had been a member of the Jonesboro First Baptist Church since 2008.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Lori M. Davidson of Jonesboro; four children, Crystal Meiers of Jonesboro, Christina (Shaun) Haynes of Anna, Timothy Davidson of Jonesboro and Natasha Roman of Florida; seven grandchildren, Kaleb, Mekenna, Gabe, Mckenzie, Eddie, Arianna and Gabe; his father-in-law, Larry (Rosemary) Dillow of Anna; many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Patti Wagner.

A memorial service hosted by the family and assisted by the Connect Point Church will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Connect Point Church in Anna. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. 

Private family inurnment will take place at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park between Murphysboro and Carbondale on Old Route 13.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is assisting the family with cremation services.
