Mary Ellen Meyer

Mary Ellen Meyer, 80, of Anna, and formerly of Normal, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1938, in Ava, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Mae Holcomb Seagraves. 

She married Jerald Meyer on Jan. 5, 1957.

She was a member of Harvest Church in Anna. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and puzzles. She also enjoyed her daily episode of Jeopardy.

She is survived by her husband, Jerald Meyer of Anna; two daughters, Julie (Mike) Robinson of Normal and Catherine (Tim) Smillie of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; three sons, Carl (Theresa) Meyer of Arlington, Tenn., David Meyer of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Tim (Dana) Meyer of Oshkosh, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, Autumn Gerber, Jeffrey Meyer, Andrea Fugitt, Sarah Reese, Leah Schlatter, Jill Smith, Tiffany Barshaw, Hadassah Meyer, Emily Meyer, Nicole Thornton, Lucy Meyer and Alex Smillie; 20 great-grandchildren, with another due in November; and one sister, Arline Enos of McLean.

She was preceded in death by her parents and  by one son, Jerald Meyer, Jr.

Funeral services were at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Harvest Church in Anna, with the Rev. Tony Foeller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials can be made to the Harvest Church.
