Martin D. ‘Marty’ Filter

Martin D. “Marty” Filter, 61, of Jonesboro, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on March 12, 1955, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Martin and Dorothy Buster Filter.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Filter of Jonesboro; his father, Martin Filter of Florida; aunts and uncles Joan Miller of Jonesboro, Caroline Page of Jonesboro, James W. Buster of Clyde, Texas, and Richard Buster of Westminster, Colo.; many cousins; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Filter.

He liked to fish, and go to yard sales. He was a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Mr. Filter were at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
