Martha Jane Ozment

Martha Jane Ozment, 91, of Cape Girardeau,  and formerly of Olive Branch, died Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on April 16, 1927, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Jess and Edna Mixen.  

She married Orval Ozment on Oct. 1, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2002.

She was a member of the East Cape Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Russell) Dillingham of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Susie Ozment of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Ronald Ozment; three brothers, Henry (Myrtle) Mixen, Charles (Eunice) Mixen and Jesse Mixen; and five sisters, Mary (Everett) McNeely, Edna Mae (Joe) Peters, Anna (Glen) Goodman, Francis (Don) Woods and Helen (Ed) Mason.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with Raymond Oxford and Dr. Chris Fleming officiating. Interment followed in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
