Marilyn K. Moreland, 63, of Anna, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in South County, Mo.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1953, in Anna, the daughter of Junior and Jane Kinder Treece.

She married Dale Moreland on Feb. 26, 1977, in Anna.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Moreland of Anna; one son, Brad (Maren) Moreland of Anna; one grandchild, Myla Moreland; her mother, Jane Treece of Wolf Lake; a sister, Karen (Gary) Davison of Marion; a brother, Kent (Mary) Treece of Wolf Lake; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Moreland of Anna; aunts and uncles; four nieces and nephews, Christopher (Natalie) Davison, Andrea (Shane) Wade, Kaleb (Kerri) Treece and Abbie (Jason) Stegle; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Conner Wade, Hudson Wade, Avery Stegle and Koralynn Treece; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a pharmacist; she worked for five years at Broadway Prescriptions, 10 years for Super X Pharmacy and 15 years for Kroger Pharmacy. She received a kidney and pancreas transplant in 1989, which gave her a new lease on life; and she made the most of it. In 2010 her kidney failed and she was plagued with health problems, one after another. However, her family said she maintained a positive outlook and an incredible will to live life, no matter what the hurdle was.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moreland will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Bill Littrell officiating. Entombment will be in the Anna City Cemetery.
