Marie Foster

Marie Foster, 102, of Pulaski, died Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Metropolis Rehab and Care.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1921, in Pulaski, the daughter of Oliver “Gus” and Essie Mize McClellan.  

She married Don Foster on Jan. 10, 1940. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2007.

Survivors include her son, Larry (Carolyn) Foster; daughters Judy Russell and Linda Smith; four grandchildren, Kim Haverkamp, Monica Holshouser, Rod McIntosh and John Foster; seven great-grandchildren, Natalie Haverkamp, Katie Davis, Tyler Holshouser, Amber McIntosh, Christian Davis, Cruiz Davis and Olivia Foster; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Oliver, Owen McClellan, Dorothy Pirtle Gibbs, Ruth Louise Newell and Marilea Bagby.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Burial followed at the American Legion Cemetery in Dongola.
