Marie Clayton

Marie Clayton, 76, of Anna, died at 4:57 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1940, near Anna, the daughter of Fred and Elma Hankla Burnley.

She married Jerrie T. Clayton on Dec. 12, 1959.

She worshipped at Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and sewing. She was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jerrie Clayton; a daughter, Ramona (Richard) Ralls; two granddaughters, Heather (Dusty) Hileman and Jessican Ralls; a great-granddaughter, Gracie Marie Hileman; her twin sister, Maudie (Wayne) Miller; nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services for Mrs. Clayton were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Crain Funeral Home, Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Interment was in the Camp Ground Cemetery.
