Lucy Clark

Lucy Clark, 72, of Cobden, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at her home. 

She was born on June 6, 1949, in Union County, the daughter of John Basil and Frances L. Johnson Newman.  

She married Mart Clark Sr. on March 15, 1968. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2016.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Steve) Glidden of Metropolis; two sons, Mart “Mo” Clark Jr. and Richard Clark, both of Cobden; seven grandchildren, Cody Clark, Logan Glidden, Bridget, Amber and James Clark, Lacey Schmidt and Dylan Glidden; 10 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Jadyn Clark, Klaytyn and Korbyn Myers, Edison and Andy Glidden, Grady and Milo Schmidt, Korbin Uptain and Brantley Clark; a sister, Francis Pollard of Jonesboro; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mart Clark Sr.; and two brothers, John Newman Jr. and Harold Newman. 

Funeral services were at noon Sunday, Aug. 1, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Interment was in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
