Lucille Theis

Lucille Theis, 95, of Dongola, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at her home.

She was born on May 2, 1922, in Reynoldsville, the daughter of Ephraim F. and Mary Elizabeth Rhymer Groves.

She married Herman Theis on Feb. 3, 1940, in Frohna, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1969.

She is survived by her children Arelene (Jim) Hallers of Huntsville, Texas, Jane Kerfin (Henry Samvoie) of Port Richey, Fla., Richard (Julia) Theis and Joann Sue Theis, all of Dongola; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and four sisters.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola. She loved to vacation and enjoying spending most of her time in Florida.
