Lowell Eugene Freeman

Lowell Eugene Freeman, 73, of Anna, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1943, in Mattoon, the son of Lowell Guy and Ruby Maxine Ingram Freeman.

He married Dorothy Huffman on Oct. 17, 1959, in Toledo.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Freeman of Anna; children Randall E. (Nora L.) Freeman of Marion, Delbert (Sherri) Freeman of Dongola, Sondra Fuller of Anna, Steven (Marilyn) Freeman of Dongola and Michael (Cathy) Freeman of Jonesboro; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Bailey of Cave City, Ky., Diane Thompson of Bement and Vicki Bowen of Rockford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mike Morgan; and one sister, Gale Morgan.

He loved bass fishing and coon hunting. He was a laborer and worked construction for E.T. Simonds for several years.

Memorial services for Mr. Freeman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro, with Roger Menees officiating. Friends can call after 11 a.m. until the service hour at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery at a later date.
