Lessie Lee Laminack Dunkin
Lessie Lee Laminack Dunkin, 97, of Anna, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
She was born the second child of nine on Aug. 24, 1922, to George Lee and Essie Mae Laminack in Heflin, Ala.
She married Lee Dunkin on Dec. 26, 1937, in Heflin, Ala. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1985.
Together they had six children, Junior Lee, Bobby Gene, Dorothy Ann, Iva Lorene, Larry Joe and Jerry Wayne.
She was a woman of strong faith. She loved designing and creating quilts for her family.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Gene (Beverly) Dunkin of Richmond, Ind., Iva Lorene (Robert) Osman of Dongola, Larry Joe (Patricia) Dunkin of Karnak and Jerry Wayne (Louise) Dunkin of Elk Creek, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Dunkin; two children, Junior Lee Dunkin and Dorothy Ann Rosenthal Henry; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and eight siblings.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Alan Milligan officiating. Interment was in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
