Leoda Watkins

Leoda Watkins, 95, of Ware, died at 4:25 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Integrity Healthcare of Anna. 

She was born on March 14, 1923, in McClure, the daughter James Aud and Ola May Clever Rogers.  

She married Troy James Watkins on Nov. 21, 1942, in Cape Girardeau.  He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Kenneth) Brown of Clinton, Tenn., Bob Watkins of Ware, Linda Morgan of Anna and David Watkins of Anna; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; former daughters-in-law Carol and Tina; sisters Doris Jobe of Virginia Beach, Va., and Vivian Moss of Anna. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Troy James Watkins; and a son, Mike Watkins.

She was a member of the Ware United Pentecostal Church.  

Funeral services for Leoda Watkins were at 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with  the Rev. Danny Jones and the  Rev. Randy Morgan officiating. Interment was in the Lindsey Cemetery in McClure. 

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Lindsey Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
