Larry Ray Reynolds
Larry Ray Reynolds, 67, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1950, in Anna, the son of James Ray “Chris” and Catherine “Tootie” Lindsey Reynolds.
He married Diana Christine Smith on Nov. 25, 2000, at their home in Dongola.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Reynolds of Dongola; a son, Jason (Tracey) Smith of Jonesboro; daughters Debra (Ed) Duck of Medina, Tenn., and Sara (Marty) Deresinski of Floral City, Fla.; grandchildren Dylan, Brett and Jack Smith of Jonesboro; Candace, Nathan and Preston Bedocs of Tennessee, and Nick, Rachel, Jackson, Mason, Isabelle and Madeline Deresinski of Floral City, Fla.; great-grandchildren Silas, Trinity, Colton, Kaden and Braden; a brother, Harry (Cindy) Reynolds of Algonquin; a sister, Kristy (David) Miller of St. Charles, Mo.; an uncle, Jack (Dolores) Reynolds of Reynoldsville; brothers-in-law Mike (Shirley) Smith, Harold (Barb) Smith and Kevin Smith, all of Jonesboro; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Watkins of Wolf Lake; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Laborers Local. He retired from Operating Engineers Local No. 150 in Countryside after 20 years of service.
He loved riding horses and was a member of the Union County Saddle Club. He enjoyed riding his Harley and driving muscle cars, it was his great pastime, along with deer hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Reynolds were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Tim Heinecke officiating. Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.
