Larry L. ‘Macho’ Anderson
Larry L. “Macho” Anderson, 74, of Anna, died at 4:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1942, in Madison, the son of Dwain and Frieda Dickerson Anderson.
He married Joyce Goodman on June 10, 1960, in Jackson, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Anderson of Anna; three daughters, Barbara (Ricky) Elder of Marion, Ky., Glenda (Jim) Morrow of Jonesboro and Monica (Jeff) Barnes of Pulaski; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Lynn Anderson of McClure; a sister Bernell (Bob) Abercrombie of Tamms; one aunt, Betty McDermott of Anna; two sisters-in-law, Pam Anderson of Percy and Georgia Anderson of Perryville; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clinton, D.B., David and Dale Anderson; and one granddaughter, Melinda Elder.
He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 31 years, working as a maintenance of ways trackman.
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment was in the St. John’s Cemetery in Dongola.
