Kevin Edward Brown

Kevin Edward Brown, 48, of Carbondale, died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at his home.

He was born on May 31, 1968, in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Billie and Shirley Burlingame Brown.

He took pride in working as a foreman for Nieman Flooring in Murphysboro. In his spare time, he enjoyed time with friends and family. He loved his dogs very much, they were his pride and joy. His wonderful spirit of making people laugh was a gift to all who knew him, and his love for the simple things in life made his life a celebrated one.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Brown of Anna; a sister, Carma Brown of Anna; many friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Brown; a cousin, Tracey; an aunt, Devonna; an uncle, Dee; and a cousin, Greg.

A memorial gathering and time of remembrances will be Friday, Sept. 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro.
