Kenneth Leonard Dixon Sr.

Kenneth Leonard Dixon Sr., 61, of Dongola, died on Thursday, March 5, 2020. 

He was born on Aug. 8, 1958, in Marion, the son of Sydney and Mary Lang Dixon. 

He married Carrie Doublin on Aug. 8, 2008, in Jonesboro. 

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Carrie Dixon; children Kenneth L. Dixon Jr., Autumn Dixon, Brayden Coleman, he raised, Deliah Thompson, and was a father figure to many; grandchildren Kensey Dixon and Kenneth Dixon; siblings Floyd (Rebecca) Dixon, Carol (Tommy) Pierce and Jerry, Darrel and Elaine Bracken; his church family; other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and several siblings.

Mr. Dixon enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was very strong in his faith and loved going to church. He attended the Alto Pass Full Gospel Pentecostal Church and he was a witness of God to anyone and everyone he met. He was a welder fabricator, and worked for Unimin for 15 years. He also worked for the Anna Quarry. 

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Alto Pass Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Friends can call from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 2 p.m.
