Katherine A. Fox

Katherine A. Fox, 80, of Pomona, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 30, 2021. 

She was born on her family homestead, on Jan. 6, 1941, the daughter of Jesse and Rosella Stearns Morefield. 

She married Larry Hardin. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2004. Years later she married Bob Fox. He also preceded her in death. 

Mrs. Fox is survived by her two sons, David Hardin of Alto Pass and Michael (Karen) Hardin of Anna; nine grandchildren, Renne Rose, Jesse Adam, Era Katherine Hardin, Kristina, Sarah, Jake, Joel Hardin, Christopher (Hanna) Greenwood and Jacy (Daniel) Cohen; three great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Beckham and Aurelia Cohen; siblings Norma Bodkin of Carbondale, Sandra Turkington of Cape Girardeau, William E. Morefield of Alto Pass, Shirley Dillon Reed of Herrin and Jim Morefield of Florida; other relatives and many friends.

She  was a devoted Christian and enjoyed attending church and worshiping with her church family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass for many years. 

For over two decades she worked for the Anna National Bank as a bank teller until her retirement. 

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Carroll Toler officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. 

Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass.
