Katherine Boyd

Katherine Boyd, 89, of Anna, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. 

She was born on Sept. 3, 1929, in Dawson Springs, Ky., the daughter of Wayne and Alice Crider Dusch. 

She married Joe E. Boyd on Aug. 28, 1948, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenifer (Dwayne) Fields of Carterville; a daughter-in-law, Trena Boyd of Auburn, Neb.; six grandchildren, Julie Fields Stock, Mark (Dani) Fields, Beth Ann Fields, Kimberly Boyd, Sheryl (Tim) Thiele and Andrew Boyd; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Emily (Gary) Meyer of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe E. Boyd; a son, Jeff W. Boyd; a brother and a sister-in-law, Wayne (Nancy) Dusch. 

She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro for many years. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed knitting, reading and going to craft fairs with her daughter. 

Funeral services for Katherine Boyd were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Anna.
