JoAnn Silinzy

JoAnn Silinzy, 77, of Tamms, and formerly of St. Louis, died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1939. She married Charles Ray and later in life married Jesse Silinzy. Both preceded her in death. 

She had worked at American Linen in St. Louis and National Linen. She was a member of the Tamms Methodist Church. 

She is survived her children, Michael Ray, Charles Ray Jr., Edward Ray, Juanita Allen and Robin Ray; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, March 3, at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at noon on Friday, March 3, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brent Gordon and the Rev. Pete Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
