Joan Ann Vicory

Joan Ann Vicory, 74, of Anna, died at 7:34 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her son's home in Jackson, Mo.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1942, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Donald J. and Lucile L. Hooser Rice.

She married Ronald D. Vicory Sr. on Nov. 2, 1960. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2013.

She enjoyed crocheting. She loved going to bingo and auctions with her best friend Pam. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children, Julie Allen of San Diego, Calif., Jennifer (George) Scott of Jonesboro, Kevin (Melissa) Vicory of Jackson, Mo., Joshua Vicory of Jackson, Mo., Curtis (Julie) Vicory of Elgin, Michael (Lori) Vicory of Aurora, Jan (Sheila) Vicory of Naperville, and Ronald D. (Reanne) Vicory Jr. of Boulder Hill; a sister, Donna (Steve) Lane, of Poulsbo, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald D. Vicory Sr.

Friends may gather from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Carter officiating.

Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
