Jeffrey Wade Davis
Jeffrey Wade Davis, 57, of Lafayette, Ind., and formerly of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at his home with his wife, Shelly, by his side.
He was born on May 1, 1959, in Chicago, the son of Cletus and Audrey Goodman Davis of Jonesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly Davis; a son, Jake Davis; a daughter, Alix Davis, all of Lafayette, Ind.; his mother, Audrey Davis of Jonesboro; a brother, Rick (Nancy) Davis of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Gayle (Jack) Yarbrough of Anna; a sister-in-law, Tina Sandefur of Lafayette, Ind.; nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, all of Union County; and lifetime friends Matt Wetting and Allen Bumbleburg of Lafayette, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Davis; a brother, Wesley Davis; two nephews and all of his grandparents.
He was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. He moved to Lafayette, Ind., and married Michelle “Shelly” Sandefur Davis on July 29, 1989. He worked as an assembler at Kirby Risk in Lafayette for the last 12 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and loved spending time with friends at the local gun shop.
Private memorial services were held in Lafayette, Ind., on Saturday, Oct. 8. There will be a memorial service held in Union County at a later date.
