Jay Buckner

Jay Buckner, 50, of Anna, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at his home.  

He was born on Aug. 3, 1968, in Carbondale, the son of Gary and Patricia Bartsch Buckner. 

He is survived by his children, Chelsy Buckner of Karnak, Brock (Alexa) Buckner of Jonesboro, Brennan (Kristina) Buckner of Benton and Ryan Buckner of Anna; two grandchildren, Rhett Buckner and Lincoln Buckner; a sister, Suzanne (Carl) Dillow of Anna; three nieces, Kristen (Chris) Hodges of Anna, Kasie (Robert) Craft of Anna and Kenzie Dillow of Anna; great-nieces and nephews; an aunt, Sue (Bob) Overby of Kentucky; other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church. He worked several years as a caregiver for RAVE in Anna. He enjoyed deer hunting.

 Funeral services for Jay Buckner were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Carl Dillow officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.  

Memorials can be made to the education fund for Ryan Buckner.
