Jason Shelton

Jason Shelton, 45, of West Frankfort, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Franklin County Hospital in Benton. 

He was born on March 25, 1974, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Robert and Carolyn Dunn Shelton. 

He married Jennifer Dunn on Nov. 6, 1999, in Cobden.  

Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Jennifer Shelton of West Frankfort; three children, Logan Shelton, Gage Shelton and Reon Shelton, all of West Frankfort; his mother, Carolyn Maze of West Frankfort; his father, Paul Maze of Benton; a sister, Andrea (Mickey) Trant of Carterville; a brother, Michael Maze of West Frankfort; his mother and father-in-law, Janis and Kenneth Dunn of Carbondale; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby (Amy) Dunn; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shelton. 

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, barbeque and cookouts. 

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. David Maze officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
