Jan (Baker) Robertson

Jan (Baker) Robertson, 54, of Dongola, formerly of Hollister, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1964, in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas J. and Bertha Lucille Trexler Baker. 

She was raised in Union County and attended Cobden High School, where she played softball and basketball.  

She lived most of her adult life in Hollister, Fla., but returned to Southern Illinois three years ago. 

She is survived by her son, Eric Robertson (Nicole Lauderdale); a daughter, Stephanie Robertson (Shane Thornton); stepdaughters, Teresa Phillips and Laura Robertson; grandchildren Landon Robertson, Stephen Robertson, Kurtis Robertson, Leighla Robertson, Madison Thornton, Kylee Thornton, Sky Robertson, Jordan Robertson and Maygen Phillips; her father, Thomas Baker; siblings Lucille Buxton, Brenda Brown, Pat Lovell, Mike Baker, Brian Baker and Kimberly Gentry; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Baker; and by two brothers, Jeff Baker and Scott Baker.

Funeral services for Jan Robertson were at noon Monday, Sept. 24, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro.

Memorials can be made to Eric Robertson and will be accepted at the funeral home.
