James Scott Strange

James Scott Strange, 58, of Dongola, and formerly of California, died at 4:38 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the Jonesboro Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on June 13, 1960, in Lexington Park, Md., the son of Kenneth and Doris Colleen Berry Strange.  

He lived in San Diego from 1966 and then settled in Dongola. He loved surfing, fishing and snowboarding.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandy Kessler of California and Breanna Swartwood of Las Vegas; his father, Kenneth Strange of Dongola; a sister, Robin (Ron) LaFleur of Terre Haute, Ind.; brothers Mark Strange of Dongola and Daniel (Wendy) Strange of Herrin; a nephew, Sean Strange of California; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Strange.

There will be no services at this time and cremation will be accorded. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
