James ‘Jamie’ Walker Jr.

Services for James “Jamie” Walker Jr., 55, of Tonkawa, Okla., were held Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, Texas, with Thomas Peppers officiating. Burial was in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Peppers Family Funeral Home in Wheeler, Texas.

Mr. Walker died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

James “Jamie” Clifton Walker Jr. was born on Nov. 28, 1961, in Carmel, Calif., the son of James Walker Sr. and Gail Hopperstad Knight. He was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.

Mr. Walker married Susan Figueroa on April 1, 2017, in Tonkawa, Okla.

He worked as an equipment operator and pipeliner. He was a charter member of the American Legion Riders.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Walker, of Tonkawa, Okla.; one son, Casey Walker and wife, Jennifer, of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Crystal Craig and husband, Chance of Kingfisher, Okla., and Evelyn Walker, of Eric, Okla.; two stepsons, Cody Cooper, of Ponca City, Okla., and Casey Cooper, of Ponca City, Okla.; one brother, Chad Knight and wife, Kim of Shamrock, Texas; one sister, Jodi Walker, of Briscoe, Texas; six grandchildren; three nieces; two great-nieces; one nephew; and one great-nephew.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Legion Riders, Post 68, P.O. Box 271, Shamrock, Texas 79079, and the American Heart Association, 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Suite 320, Austin, Texas 78759.
