Jackie ‘Lynnell’ Hinkle

Jackie “Lynnell” Hinkle, 77, of Dongola, died at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1940, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of JQ and Eva Adelia Carrol Hall.

She married James R. Hinkle on Nov. 25, 1960. They shared 57 years of marriage together.

She graduated from Shawnee Community College as a LPN in 1977. She was employed at Union County Hospital and Jonesboro Rehab. She enjoyed genealogy, computer games, hummingbirds, gardening and crocheting. She was a very active member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 522 and her church, Mt. Olive Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Hinkle of Dongola; daughter Debra (Albert) Hill of Olmsted; son Ronnie (Pam) Hinkle of Anna; grandchildren Clay Aden, Josh (Amber) Aden, Jamie (John) Johnson, Traci (Michael) Hill, Kami (Jacob Hancock) Hinkle, Megan Hinkle and Jessie Cook; great-grandchildren Courtney Aden, Trevor Fox, Nathan Aden and Owen Aden, due in May; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Chester Hall and Doyle Hall, both of Yucaipa, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a half-brother, James Hall.

Funeral services for Jackie “Lynnell” Hinkle were at noon Monday, March 5, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with Victor Duckworth officiating. Interment was in Hinkle Cemetery in Dongola.

Eastern Star readings were at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
