Iris Mae Sheridan
Iris Mae Sheridan, infant daughter of John Bradley and Amanda Louise (Smith) Sheridan, journeyed to heaven at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She is survived by her parents, Brad and Amanda Sheridan of Anna; a 7-year-old brother, John Thaniel Sheridan; maternal grandparents Elliott Blayne and Leta Rose Rich Smith of Cobden; paternal grandparents John and Kathy Oxford Sheridan of Cave-In-Rock; great-grandparents Thelma Louise Rich of Cape Girardeau and Velma Oxford of Cave-In-Rock; aunts and uncles, Stephanie and Aaron Meuser of Washington, Ill., Kallie Smith of St. Louis, Meredith and Harold Frey of Cobden, and Sarah and Tim Luczkiw of Athens, Ohio; cousins Gabrielle, Aiden and Lia Mueser of Washington, Ill., and Naomi, Cora and Victoria Frey of Cobden.
Iris’s twin sister, Josephine Louise Sheridan, joined her in heaven on Sept. 18, 2016, and she was preceded in death by the late James Fredrich Rich, the late Barbara Ruth Lence Smith, the late Willard and Leona Sheridan, the late Galen Oxford and the late Jimmie Smith.
An Honorary Service, a time to honor their daughter Iris, was at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at the Vine Church in Carbondale, with Noble Staley officiating. Interment was held privately for the family in the Cobden Cemetery.
