Helen Hight Miller

Helen Hight Miller, 90, of Wetaug, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Harley Walter and Edna Mae Staudacher Hight.

She marred Donald Ray Miller on April 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2011. 

She was a member of the Wetaug Church of Christ. She was president of the Dongola High School class of 1949, a 4-H leader and  a Home Extension Association member. 

She was part of the original Pulaski County History Book Committee. She served as an election judge for the Wetaug precinct for many years. She was a member of the Farm Bureau. 

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in all of his endeavors as his chief secretary and operator.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Miller and Kedron (Patrick) Laws, both of Ullin; a son, Brent (Holly) Miller of Ullin; 13 grandchildren, Bradley Cobb, Jeffrey Cobb, Justin Cobb, Karen Akin, Christopher Cobb, Jeremy Cobb, Joshua Cobb, Jennifer Helman, Stacy Larry, Fletcher Laws, Chelsea Rentfro, Hannah Miller and Ben Miller; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers Dwight Hight of Millstadt and Larry (Rosemary) Hight of Anna; a sister, Joyce Fuiten of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Colby Miller, and a sister, Connie Young.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with her son, Brent Miller, officiating. Interment followed the service at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
