Heather Dawn Charles

Heather Dawn Charles, 44, of Jonesboro, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at her home.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1978, in Herrin, the daughter of Jack Allen and Ruth Ellen McGill.

She married Randal Dale Charles on Oct. 25, 1993. He survives.

She was a homemaker and so much more. She was the binding of the book that was her family as a loving wife and mother. She was a best friend, a confidant and loving guide in life to each of her three daughters. She adored her grandson immensely, whom she was known to as “Mimi,” and he, in her eyes, could do no wrong.

Her eyes contained a sparkle that shined even brighter when she smiled and she had such a warm and inviting personality of which everyone she encountered couldn’t help but notice.

She was a passionate and vibrant woman, wise beyond her years. She was a deep thinker with a poetic heart. She had a great sense of humor and loved fiercely all in her life.

A gifted gardener with a green thumb, she loved her garden and many beautiful plants. She was a wonderful cook who made the best lasagna. She loved the ocean and sunsets on the beach, camping and fishing and she would always catch the most fish. She loved nature and her animals that she had cared for and raised in her lifetime.

Amongst her many hobbies, she was a writer of poetry and she collected rare and unique items such as old books, coins, antiques and stamps to mention a few.

Filled with a great thirst for knowledge, she always sought answers to her questions as there was no problem she could not solve. She had a deep appreciation for well written words, scriptures, songs, and quotes that touched her heart.

Having been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses her whole life, she had great faith in Jehovah God, always encouraging her family to pray when they needed help in life.

She was a most precious, loving and caring wife, mother and daughter that there will never be enough words to describe her. She was so very loved and she will be intensely missed by all whom she has touched in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Randy;  daughters Ashley Cheyenne (Jacob) Kelley, Sierra Nicole Charles and Haleigh Dakota Charles; grandson Arlas Rhett Kelley; mother Ruth Ellen Bocook-Galloway; brothers Gregory Allen Bocook, Jeffrey Owen (Donna) Bocook and Jeromy Van Allen Bocook; sister Kimberly Suzanne (Wendel) Cox; mother-in-law Debra Ann Dover Charles; brother-in-law Douglas Ray (Wendy) Charles; and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends who she loved dearly.
