Harry Taylor Sr.

Harry Taylor Sr., 79, of Anna, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1940, in Anna, the son of Logan and Anna Tolbert Taylor. 

He married Gloria L. Wollard on July 15, 1961, in Joliet. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2003.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, Harry Jr. (LeAn) Taylor of Carroll, Iowa, Patricia (Rick) Mulback of Anna, and Michael Taylor of Anna; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria L. Taylor; a son, Steven Taylor; and four brothers. 

Mr. Taylor served in the U.S. Navy. He worked many years for General Motors as a welder. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, golf and watching westerns. 

Funeral services were at noon Friday, Dec. 27, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. 

Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Navy funeral honor detail.
