Harry L. Rodman

Harry L. Rodman, 85, of Anna, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. 

He was born on Aug. 14, 1934, in Anna, the son of Clyde and Gladys Brown Rodman. 

He married Marilyn J. Corzine on Nov. 25, 1960, in Anna. 

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Rodman of Anna; a daughter, Julie (Mark) Steddom and a son, Joe Rodman, all of Davenport, Iowa; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David “Chris” Rodman; and a brother, Frank A. Rodman. 

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked many years as an accountant and later was partner in the Tropical Ford Dealership in Orlando, Fla., before his retirement. 

He loved traveling with his wife Marilyn in their RV. Together, they visited all 50 states and two provinces in Canada.  

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Dr. David Fischler officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. 

Graveside military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard funeral honor team of Marion. 

Friends can call after 1 p.m. and until the service hour at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. 

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Anna.
