Fred Killius

Fred Killius, 85, of Olmsted, died at 3:27 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Killius was born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Olmsted, the son of Carl and Arletta Kinslow Killius.

He was an avid commercial fisherman. His love for animals was only surpassed by his love for people. No man has ever done so much for so many with so little. He will be missed dearly and forever loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Bronson Killius; a granddaughter, Jessica Hall; sisters Martha, Kathleen and Erma; and a brother, Jim.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Killius; children Freddi “Nino” (Eddie) Woodruff, Bobby (Nancy) Killius, Glenda Cross (Frank E. Fraker, deceased), Kathy (Mark) Johnson and stepdaughter, Linda (Ron) Sanders; brothers Wayne (Ruth) Killius, Gordon (Barbara) Killius, Walter “Pete” (Diane) Killius and Gene Killius (husband, Ralph); sisters Maryann (Clifford) Westerman and Louise (Robert) Holley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for noon on Friday, Jan. 21, at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Wayne Helton officiating.
