Forrest Ray Meadows

Forrest Ray Meadows, 79, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, surrounded by his wife, Margaret “Jane,” and family at Anna Rehabilitation and Care Center in Anna.

He was born on April 6, 1938, in Alto Pass, the son of William Jesse and Clorene C. Harris Meadows.

He married Margaret Jane Gearhart on Sept. 24, 1962, in Gorham. They shared over 55 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Meadows, of Dongola; his children, Connie Sue Meadows of Karnak, Brian Ray and wife Sandra Meadows of Mounds, Michael Lee and wife Brandy of Metropolis, Melissa Ann Casper of Dongola and Crystal Gayle and husband Wes Johnson of Dongola; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Herschel Lee Meadows of Cambria; and a sister, Linda Kay Stevens of Dongola.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clorene Meadows, and by two brothers.

Services were at noon Monday, Dec. 18, at Walker Funeral Home in Alto Pass, with Pete Vinson officiating. Burial was in Alto Pass Cemetery with military rites.
