Erie J. Rosson

Erie J. Rosson, 103, of Jonesboro, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Jonesboro Rehab.  

She was born on Oct. 29, 1914, in Mill Creek, the daughter of Clarence and Izora Holshouser McCommons.  

She married Charles Rosson on Aug. 6, 1931, in Jonesboro.  He preceded her in death on July 12, 1995.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Pat) Rosson of Goodyear, Ariz.; a daughter, Charlene (Gerald) Hileman of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Donna (Rob) Jessen, Nancy Gould, Scott Hileman, Gina (Brian) Bivin, Tammy (Jeff) Wheeler and Tracey (Chris) Denten; eight great-grandchildren, Mikyle Jessen, Isabella Jessen, Jasmine Bivin, Bryce Bivin, Tyler Ott, Alex Ott, Jacob Denten and Chloe Denten; a sister, Mary Casper of Jonesboro; other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Rosson; a son, Louis Rosson; a daughter, Virginia Lee Gould; two sisters, Clara Barnett and Eileen Ellis; a brother, Roy McCommons; and a son-in-law, Robert Gould.

 She was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna. 

Funeral services for Erie J. Rosson were at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Tim Weiser officiating. Interment was in McGinnis Cemetery near Anna.  

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
