Enzina Davis (Borello)

Schaumburg, Illinois – Enzina Davis (Borello), 87, died on Feb. 6, 2021, at Friendship Village in Schaumburg. 

She was born in Condove, Italy, to her parents Romeo and Mary Borello with whom she emigrated to the United States when she was 13 years old and settled in the small town of Christopher in Southern Illinois. 

She attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she met her husband of 64 years, John R. (Dick) Davis. 

She began her teaching career at Ellis Elementary School in Belleville.

She raised her two children, Chris and Lisa, in Belleville. She passed down her love of teaching to her daughter, Lisa. 

Throughout her life, she loved painting, shopping for bargains and, most of all, taking care of her family. 

Her husband Dick, died on Oct. 6, 2022.  Her daughter, Lisa, died on Nov. 25, 2021.  

She is survived by her son, Chris, and grandchildren Savannah, Caroline, Jack and Corinne.

A celebration of life will be held for her and her husband, Dick, on Saturday,  Dec. 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home, 135 W. Vienna St., Anna. A private inurnment will be held at the Anna Cemetery.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
