Emerenciana Carmona

Emerenciana Carmona, 85, of Cobden, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at her home. 

She was born on Aug. 20, 1938, in Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Angela Murillo Martinez. She and Mariano Carmona were married for 70 years.

Emerenciana is survived by her husband, Mariano; children Asuncion, Mariano, Salvador, Miguel, Amalia, Carmen, Nicolas, Rosario, Pedro, Gloria and Yazmin Carmona; 37 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter, Maria DeJesus.

Funeral Mass for Emerenciana Carmona was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden, with Father Uriel Salamanca as celebrant. Interment followed in the Cobden Cemetery. 

The Holy Rosary was said at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
