Ellen Mae Turner

Ellen Mae Turner, 93, of Anna, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Union County Hospital Long Term Care in Anna.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1923, in Golconda, the daughter of Donald and Mary Wagner Coleman.

She married Paul Turner on Nov. 9, 1940. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1981.

She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years.

She is survived by her three sons, Terry (Carolyn) Turner, Lowell (Linda) and Danny Turner; six daughters, Lawanda (Harold) Hubbs, Neta (Terry) Mull, Margie (Rodger) Sheffer, Patsy (Doug) Bridgeman, Vickie (DuWayne) Glasco and Pauline Turner; 25 grandchildren, Paula (Paul) Turner, Jeff (Dawn) Turner, Rodney (Pam) Turner, Steve Hargrave, Lauri Van Buren, Missy Meskenas, Tim (Angie) Hargrave, Penny Trimble, Renee (John) Barresi, Amy (Jeff) Sturgeon, Tammy Turner, Michael Turner, Connie Salazar, Daniel (Cindy) Turner, Anthony (April) Pena, Nick (Catherine) Pena, Dane (Elizabeth) Mull, Rob (Becky) Lannm, Jamie (Maria) Bridgeman, Lisa Hartline, Cindy (Keith) Hutchason, Greg Glasco, Mark (Amy) Glasco, Amanda Glasco and Andrea Glasco; 51 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Turner; one son, Rodney Turner; two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Big Creek Baptist Church.
