Edward Earl Shelby
Edward Earl Shelby, 83, of Anna, died on Sept. 15, 2019, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He born on Aug. 22, 1936, in Harrisburg, the son of Garland and Mary Ferrell Shelby. He married Patsy McCall on July 7, 1989.
Mr. Shelby is survived his children, Bruce (Donna) Shelby of Warren, Mich., and Brenda (Steve) Hoyle of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; stepchildren Phillip Osman of Cypress, David (Karla) Osman of Anna, Daniel (Regina) Osman of Anna, Patricia (Steve) Schnitzer of Lakeworth, Fla., Alesia (Rodger) Patterson of Dongola and Kim (Chuck) Conway of Jonesboro; grandchildren Kelsey (Dave) Allen, Daniel Hoyle, Patrick Shelby, and Shannon (Jackie) Shelby; 13 step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; 19 step-great-grandchildren; his twin brother, Jack (Avah) Shelby of Carbondale; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Shelby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He enjoyed singing and worshipping with his church family. His hobby was acting and he enjoyed being involved in theater productions.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Phil Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the Meisenheimer-Mt. Olive Cemetery.
