Eanis Poole

Eanis Poole, 74, of Tamms, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his home. 

He was born on Feb. 8, 1945, in Anna, the son of Eanis Sr. and Cleta Sims Poole. 

He married Eveline Smith on March 16, 1962 in Anna. 

Mr. Poole is survived by his wife, Eveline Poole of Tamms; his mother, Cleta Poole of Dongola; two daughters, Rebecca (Charlie) Mills of Jonesboro and Beverly (Michael) Miller of Tamms; grandchildren Ashley Trexler, Brandon Hunter, Amber Miller, Michael Miller, Nicole Mills, Davin Mills and Regina Barnes; great-grandchildren Eric, Miley, Chloe, Bentley, Hadley, Konner, Avah, Abby and Raylynn; siblings Fred (Carol) Poole of Anna, Bill (Brenda) Poole of Mill Creek, Bob Poole of Mill Creek, Janice Burchyett of Anna, Joann Boling of Du Quoin, Jennie Huffine of Elco, Brenda (John) Berry of Anna and Jackie (Chuck) Mitroka of Royalton; other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father; and by siblings Dennis Poole, Effie Lang, Mike Poole and Bonnie Land. 

Mr. Poole worked many years as a driller for the Jonesboro Quarry until his retirement. 

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
