E. Lucille Coursey

E. Lucille Coursey, 106, of Olive Branch, died Saturday morning, April 24, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on April 4, 1915, in Benton, the daughter of Elic and Nellie Dillon Miller.

On Aug. 6, 1933, at Rock Springs in Alexander County, she married Taylor Coursey.

She was a member of the Olive Branch Freewill Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Magnolia Garden Club in Mounds. She was a member of the Willard Home Extension. She was a housewife and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Taylor Coursey; her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Cecil Schwieger; a daughter, Linda Haman; a son-in-law William Haman; three sisters; a brother; and an infant grandson.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Bruce (Mary) Schwieger, Dana Schwieger, Bill Haman and Robbie Haman; great-grandchildren Chris Haman, Pedro Haman, Sarah Ressel (Alex Friedrich) and Logan Schwieger; great-great-grandchildren Matti Haman and Miller Haman; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes. The Rev. Curtis Alderson officiated. Interment followed.
