Donald S. Blakley
Donald S. Blakley, 66, of Cobden, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1952, in Springfield, the son of Arthur William and Mildred Lucille Lay Blakley.
Mr. Blakley is survived by his son, Forrest Blakley, and daughter, Mary Blakley, both of Cobden; a brother, Dallas (Sandy) Blakley of Roanoke, Texas; a sister, Sheri (Michael) Voiles of Springfield; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his step-father, Carl Rubison, who helped raise Donald.
He attended the Southern Range Cowboy Church. He was employed by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and also was a life member. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps during Vietnam.
Funeral services for Donald S. Blakley were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Jason Forby officiating.
Military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Interment will be in the Rose Lawn Memorial Park in Springfield at a later date.
