Don C. Raby

Don C. Raby, 98, of Elco,  died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1921, in Elco, the son of Charles C. and Rana Ruth Walters Raby. 

Mr. Raby was a retired farmer. He was a member of Elco Baptist Church.  

He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Raby is also survived by his church family: several, with their generosity, made it possible for him to remain in his home the past several years.  

Mr. Raby was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Albert and Clarence, and by four sisters, Lula Pickett, Wanda Hartline, Ruth Raby and Esther Kemper.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Elco Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lacie Betts and the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating. Interment followed in St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
