Diana Elizabeth Crecelius

Diana Elizabeth Crecelius, 45, of Villa Ridge, died at noon Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at her residence.

On Dec. 19, 1975, in St. Louis, she was born to Freddie B. and Elizabeth Rankin Lawrence.

On Oct. 17, 1998, in Cairo, she married Michael R. Crecelius.

She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski, where she served as treasurer, youth leader, Sunday School teacher, song leader and was a volunteer for Vacation Bible School. She was a housewife and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Diana Eilermann and Howard Rankin; paternal grandparents Woodrow and Flossie Jewell Lawrence; and a brother-in-law, Tim Crecelius.

Survivors include her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Lawrence of Cairo; her husband, Michael Crecelius of Villa Ridge; children Raymond Crecelius and Jenny Crecelius of Villa Ridge; brothers John and Timmy Lawrence, both of Cape Girardeau, and Kenneth Lawrence of Florida; her mother-in-law, Barbara Crecelius of Olmsted; a sister-in-law, Elsie Crecelius of Olmsted; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Pastor Brian Lingle officiated. Interment followed in Concord Cemetery in Olmsted.
