Debra Kay 'Debbie' Dixon

Debra Kay “Debbie” Dixon, 47, of Anna, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. 

She was born on June 4, 1972, in Carbondale, the daughter of Alice Marie Leonard. 

She married the love of her life, William Lee Dixon, on April 10, 1989, in Jackson, Mo.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her husband, William Lee Dixon of Anna; daughters Nicole Dixon (Roy Turner Jr.), Amber (Charles) Jackson and Ashley (Lee) Massey, all of Anna; five grandchildren, William Dixon, Leah Turner, Skyla Turner, Emily and Zack Massey; her mother, Alice Marie (Lloyd) McCann of Anna; her father, David Shriver Sr. of Olive Branch; a brother, David Shriver Jr. (Sarah Haynes) of Jonesboro; a sister, Jenny (Jeff) Gottschall of Anna; her mother-in-law, Betty (Cliff) Parrish of Jackson, Mo.; other relatives and many, many friends. 

She was a member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene. She worked for the Southern Illinoisan as a paper carrier for the last six years. 

She was very giving; she and her husband William organized the You Been Blessed Ministries which delivered meals to local seniors in Union County. 

She was always thinking of others and ways they could help their local community. She loved to cook and always wanted to make sure those in need had meals or sweets. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Memorials can be made to the family.
