Dean Honey Robison

Dean Honey Robison died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 5:20 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1929, in Edgar County, the daughter of Guy and Thelma Bozarth Morris.

She married James Lawrence Honey on Jan. 1, 1947, and to that union were born four children: Philip Leon, James Leslie, Laura Lee and Keith Alan. Jim died in 1981 and in 1983 she married George Robison. He died in 1999.

She and her family lived in and around Tamms for many years. She worked at various jobs in Tamms, lastly as a greeter for Crain Funeral Home in Tamms and Dongola. She enjoyed life, her family and meeting and mingling with people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ullin.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons, Philip and Keith; and a brother, Tony Morris.

She is survived by her children, J.L. Honey (Mike) of St. Louis and Laura (David) Stringer of Ullin; six grandchildren, Tara Huffman, Kirsten Stringer, Seth Stringer (Kelsey), Leslie Thurston (Blake), Ethan Stringer (fiancee Alexandra) and Heather Essary; eight great-grandchildren, Malachi, Carson, Presley, Harper, Avery. Nora Dean, Jordan and Drew; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment was in McCrite Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the First Baptist Church of Ullin.
