David Wayne Charles

David Wayne Charles, 65, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1956, in Anna, the son of James Emaneul and Bonnie Marie Goleaner Charles. 

Mr. Charles is survived by his two sons, Will Charles and David Charles Jr., both of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Michael and Rikki Rentfro Charles; a great-grandchild, Lily Shields; siblings James (Nancy) Charles of Reynoldsville, Jerry (Kathryn) Charles of Beaver Dam, Ky., Sharon Phillips of Ohio, Donald (Barbara) Charles of Dongola and Deborah (Rick) Morgan of Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother, Ronald Charles. 

Mr. Charles worked as a brick layer for many years and in 1995 he worked as an over the road truck driver until his retirement.

Memorial services were at noon Monday, Jan. 17, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
